Probe into Flight MH370 mystery raises specter of 'third party' interference

MH370 news: Final report into Malaysia Airlines flight leaves families in TEARS | Daily Star

A new safety report into the disappearance of flight MH370 has concluded that the airplane was manually turned around mid-air, rather than being under the control of autopilot, and that "unlawful interference by a third party" could not be ruled out.

He said: "We can not establish if the aircraft was flown by anyone other than the pilot, but we can not exclude the possibility of unlawful interference by a third party".

Earlier today, the Malaysian International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) Investigation Team for MH370 concluded that it is unable to determine the real cause of the aircraft's disappearance four years ago.

The aircraft vanished on March 8, 2014, when it was on its way to Beijing from Kuala Lumpur with 239 people on board.

Kok Soo Chon, the chief investigator, told reporters that the team of 19 global investigators did not uncover evidence that the pilots or any of the passengers could have been behind the disappearance.

However, the long-awaited report - which was initially described as the "final report", although investigators then backtracked from that description - left the hopes of the families dashed after it failed to provide any concrete conclusions about the reasons the plane disappeared nor any indication where the wreckage might be.

Woman in loveless marriage with 'patronising' husband denied divorce
Given that there are 106,000 divorces each year in England and Wales it might seem surprising that she could not get a divorce. Freedom to marry and divorce are both guaranteed by the law, but partners must uphold the "dignity of marriage", Li said.

Kok said it was up to police to investigate.

Kok said the final report was prepared in consultation with seven other countries, including Australia, the US, China, Indonesia, and the United Kingdom, which endorse its findings.

A slow response by air traffic controllers in Malaysia and Vietnam delayed the launch of search and rescue operations, it said, while the battery in the plane's emergency locator beacon had expired.

She said that the meeting between relatives and officials descended into a "shouting match" as family members' frustration boiled over.

Investigators repeated the original assertion of Malaysia's government that the plane was deliberately diverted and flown for over seven hours after severing communications, but could not determine "whether the aircraft was flown by anyone other than the pilots".

He said finding the wreckage was crucial to helping them have closure.

Meanwhile, a relative of a crew member on board MH370 who only wanted to be identified as Fong, said he was unsatisfied, disappointed and annoyed by the briefing as it only informed the next-of-kin of something "they already knew".

Monday's 449-page report offered little to solve modern aviation's biggest mystery - and stopped short of apportioning specific blame. But that search was called off after failing to locate the plane while scouring 125,000sq km of the Indian Ocean.

It was the second major search after Australia, China and Malaysia ended a fruitless $200 million-search across an area of 120,000 square kilometres previous year.

It's presumed to have crashed in the far southern Indian Ocean.

Pieces of aircraft debris found washed up on the coast of east Africa and the French island of Réunion, thousands of kilometers from the likely crash site, were confirmed to be from the Boeing Co. "Safety is not something to be taken lightly", she said.

Former Australian prime minister Tony Abbott is among those to support this theory, saying in the lead up to the third anniversary of the plane's disappearance he found it "plausible".
