Protest Over Police Shooting Delays NBA Game in Sacramento

Video Shows Sacramento Police Shooting Unarmed Black Man in His Own Backyard

A protest over the fatal shooting of an unarmed black man briefly shut down a major California freeway and disrupted the start of an National Basketball Association game Thursday.

Officials placed the arena in lockdown as the protesters linked arms at the entrance, blocking many ticket-holders from watching the game.

Protesters dispersed from the scene before 9 p.m.

Activists and protesters have criticized the Sacramento Police Department for putting out what they say was inaccurate news in the days after the shooting of Stephon Clark.

More than five minutes after the final shot was sacked and Clark's motionless body lay on the ground, the same female officer says, "Let's have the next unit just bring a non-lethal in case he's pretending".

Kohli set for maiden County stint with Surrey
With the England tour coming up in August, Kohli has decided to make the most of the opportunity by taking up county stint. Kohli has played five Tests in the country and has managed to score only 134 runs with a mediocre batting average of 13.4.

Police fired 20 times at Clark in his grandmother's backyard.

Sacramento police guidelines posted on the department's website do not specify that officers must identify themselves when encountering suspects. "Gun, gun, gun", one of the officers yells before they begin shooting. The caller stated that the male subject had broken vehicle windows and was now hiding in a backyard.

"Any loss of life is tragic and affects all members of our community, including our Sacramento police officers", Timothy Davis, president of the Sacramento Police Officers Association, said in a statement on Thursday.

When backup arrives, one of the officers who fired says, "We can't see his left hand".

Police blocked the road as protesters continued chanting and shouting at the officers for at least an hour, news footage showed.

Body camera footage shows officers checking yards and speaking with neighbors before a sheriffs helicopter spots Clark in the backyard. "We need to know if you're OK", she said, adding they could not help unless they knew he did not have a weapon.

Google is Bringing Instant Apps to Games on Android
They also explained that Google Play Instant removes some of the friction involved in convincing people to download games. That allowed users to access certain features, such as a purchase through a retail app , without actually installing it.

Clark was suspected of breaking into cars in a South Sacramento neighborhood.

The shooting was captured by the two officers' body cameras and a police helicopter; that footage was released on Wednesday in an effort to be transparent. Police said the man "turned and advanced toward the officers while holding an object" extended in front of him.

Daniel Hahn, who is the first black police chief in Sacramento, told CNN affiliate KCRA that the shooting is "a tragic event for our entire community, so yes, there's a lot of anger".

"This family completely rejects anything that the Sacramento Police Department tried to claim to justify this execution of their loved one", said Benjamin Crump, the family's attorney.

Officers involved have been put on paid leave as the city investigates the shooting.

"When we have that information and the public doesn't, we think its important to get that out", a representative of the firm told the Sacramento Bee.

Ex-Playboy Model Sues for Right to Speak About Alleged Trump Affair
Karen McDougal believes she was part of a "catch and kill" practice when she negotiated terms of her agreement with A.M.I.in 2016. McDougal now claims that AMI is contacting her, citing breach of contract and damages, if any more information is released.

The tragedy is yet another example of "police using excessive force in the wrongful death of an unarmed black man", according to Crump.
