US Envoy Says Has 'Irrefutable Evidence' Iran Violating UN Restrictions

The United States on Thursday presented for the first time pieces of what it said were Iranian weapons supplied to Houthi militia in Yemen, describing it as conclusive evidence that Tehran was violating UN resolutions. It is not a coincidence that the US ambassador held her today's press conference two days after her claim in her interview with CNN, claiming that the common fight against Iran is much more important for the American regional allies than the plights of the Palestinians and the recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital.

"The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia welcomes the United Nations report that asserted that the hostile Iranian intervention and its support for the terrorist Houthi militia with advanced and unsafe missile capabilities threatens the security and stability of the kingdom and the region", SPA said.

United States officials have seized on a series of missile strikes by a Yemeni rebel group against Saudi Arabia as an opportunity to intensify global pressure on Iran.

Iran's "ballistic missile and advanced weapons are turning up in war zones across the region".

Haley has called on the UN Security Council to take a tougher stance toward what she contends are Iran's illegal arms deals with allies in Yemen, Lebanon, and Syria.

Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif also took to twitter to compare Haley's allegations against Iran to those of former U.S. secretary of defense, Colin Powell, who alleged in 2003 that former Iraqi dictator, Saddam Hussein, was hiding weapons of mass destruction in order to make a case for attacking the country.

"We must speak with one voice in exposing the regime for what it is - a threat to the peace and security of the whole world".

Bahrain reiterated its condemnation of Iran's continuous interferences in its domestic affairs, such as training terrorists, smuggling weapons and explosives and establishing terror groups.

President Trump said in October that the US will not certify the Iran nuclear deal, and it is now up to Congress to address the deal's "serious flaws" in order to protect the American people from any threats of nuclear weapons.
