Survivor's Todd Herzog Says Dr. Phil Got Him Drunk Before His Interview

Martin Greenberg, a psychologist who serves as the show's director of professional affairs, said that he and those at Dr. Phil would never feed an addict drugs or alcohol.

The Dr Phil television show has denied claims that it has helped addicts on its programmes to source drugs and alcohol before they come on programmes to discuss their addiction plight.

Former Royals closer Wade Davis off to Colorado Rockies
He has been an All-Star each of the past three seasons - twice in Kansas City and a year ago with the Cubs. After the Rockies reached the wild-card game in 2017, expectations will be high heading into 2018.

Throughout the country, Dr. Phil has a reputation for helping people battle their demons, but the talk show host's producers may also be guilty of contributing to some of those problems. Herzog, who was previously a victor on the reality show Survivor, also alleges that he was given Xanax. Herzog said he found a liter of Smirnoff vodka in his dressing room, which he consumed, and was later handed a Xanax pill by a staffer to "calm his nerves". During his 2013 appearance, he was guided out to meet Dr. Phil McGraw and while answering questions, he seemed glazed and drunk. One unidentified woman even claimed that a staff member advised her to purchase heroin on the drug market for her detoxing niece. "None of this will deter the Dr. Phil show from it's commitment to continue to educate and inform the public about the worsening epidemic of addiction".

At the center of the now 15-year-old daytime TV staple is Phil McGraw, a charismatic former psychologist blessed with common sense, a sonorous voice, a way with words and the courage of his convictions.

In a statement provided to Stat and the Globe, he said that "addicts are notorious for lying, deflecting and trivializing".

While Greenberg stated that the show isn't required to monitor all of its guests, he did add that Herzog was "medically supervised the entire time" by medical personnel.
