Omarosa Manigault Newman: Former Apprentice star set to leave the White House

White House Director of communications for the Office of Public Liaison Omarosa Manigault arrives for the daily press briefing at the White House Friday

Deputy national security adviser Dina Powell is also departing early next year, the White House said last week.

The US secret service, however, had clarified it was "not involved in the termination process of MS Manigault Newman or the escort off of the complex".

She elaborated that she had exclusive access to the president which created a rift between her and other White House members.

"John Kelly and I had a very straightforward discussion about concerns that I had, issues that I raised, and as a result, I resigned", Manigault told ABC News' "Good Morning America".

Donald Trump has now axed her four times: on "The Apprentice" in 2004, on "The Celebrity Apprentice" in 2011 and 2013 and on Tuesday evening.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Manigault Newman's resignation is effective January 20, one year since Trump's inauguration.

Some sources, including CNN White House correspondent April D. Ryan, reported that Newman was sacked by Kelly, who had allegedly "had it" with the former Apprentice contestant.

The two-time "Apprentice" villain turned senior White House official also ruffled feathers when she reportedly brought members of her 39-person bridal party to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue for an extended wedding photo shoot ahead of her marriage to Pastor John Allen Newman. And when I can tell my story, it is a profound story that I know the world will want to hear. In June, she Congressional Black Caucus for "showboating" and refusing to meet with President Trump. New York Times reporter Yamiche Alcindor on "Morning Joe" Thursday reported that as well, although she added Omarosa was furious over losing her walk-in privileges with the president. Manigault said that her pass was indeed deactivated in order to prohibit her access to the more classified areas.

"She said she had a story to tell and I'm sure she'll be selling that story", Robin said".

Sanders, asked directly in follow-up questioning, could not say how many senior staffers in the White House are African-American.

Indeed, President Trump tweeted his well wishes to her after her departure was announced.

She later joined the administration as director of communications for the White House Office of Public Liaison for $179,700 a year. How could that have possibly led to an unwelcoming environment in the White House?
